My name is Annabelle.  My story is sad and disturbing.  I was extremely abused and neglected. When I arrived at a shelter in Brooklyn I weighed only 15 pounds.  This picture of me was taken 3 weeks after my rescue.  My so called owners used me as bait in a pit bull fighting ring.  When I was not being tortured as bait, I was used as a breeder dog.  They would not use me as a fighter as I am deemed “too puny”.  I lived a lonely, frightened life.  I hold no grudges toward people and thrive on any human contact and attention.  In my short 3 years of life, I have witnessed death, cruelty and abandonment.  I hope through Rescue Ink and Save-A-Pet I will finally witness love, compassion and joy.  I am desperate for a forever home. Is there someone out there reading this that will take pity on this little Pitty?  Please don’t assume that someone else will. My broken body and spirit along with my future is in your hands. Please call today. Although I know I am safe now, I don’t want to wait in a shelter any longer.
