Hounds on the Sound
3K Dog Walk and Adoption Event

10 am - 3 pm

Join us for our 14th annual Hounds on the Sound 3K dog walk and Adoption Event fundraiser on the Sound in scenic Port Jefferson. Meet at the Memorial Park, just west of the Port Jefferson Ferry. The day will be filled with live music, food, vendors, contests, raffles, and prizes. Come meet the animals for adoption from Save-A-Pet. Live music will be provided by Act1Entertainment.Net.

Collect $200 or more in pledges and receive a free coffee mug with a picture of you and/or your dog printed on it. Make a profile for your pet here: saveapetanimalrescue.org and you'll have the option to collect pledges for the dog walk online with PayPal.

The person with the most pledges will receive a free overnight stay at Danford's Inn.

Registration is $30 each and includes a free t-shirt and gift bag!  What better way to spend a day than with fellow animal lovers!  You can pay by check or use your credit card via PayPal.  You do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card.

"Save-A-Pet Tuesdays" at
Bella Maria Restaurant

Bella Maria Restaurant in Coram will be hosting "Save-A-Pet Tuesdays." Every Tuesday, customers can enjoy a prix fixe menu dinner, which includes a glass of wine or soda, choice of appetizer or salad, entrée with pasta, cannoli or cheesecake for dessert with either coffee or tea.

Cost is $25 per person. Bella Maria will donate $5 of every meal to Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center.

Dog Obedience Classes

Classes Running Now

Each course is held in the Save-A-Pet parking lot for five Sunday mornings and last 1 hour. The cost is $100.00 for SAP adoptees, and $125 for non-adoptees. The basic obedience commands are addressed with an emphasis on team building, fun and positive reinforcement.
