Save-A-Pet and Guardians of Rescue to Host “Pints for Pits”
Event to Benefit Save-A-Pet’s Pit Bull Population
Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. — in partnership with Guardians of Rescue — will be holding “Pints for Pits” at Grumpy Jacks Sports Bar & Grill in Port Jefferson on Thursday, May 9 from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
The event will feature half-priced appetizers and drink specials; raffles, baskets, and prizes; and music from DJ Ron. The $10 admission fee will benefit the many abandoned, neglected, and abused pit bulls housed at Save-A-Pet.
“We have a number of pit bulls at Save-A-Pet that were rescued from deplorable situations,” said Save-A-Pet Founder/President Dori Scofield. “Like any breed, these dogs make great family pets when they are shown proper treatment. Guardians of Rescue and Save-A-Pet continue to partner for this initiative and hope the awareness will spur more people to consider adopting a pit bull.”
Grumpy Jacks is located at 28 Oakland Avenue in Port Jefferson.
