Donate a Car
Save a life by donating your old car, truck, van, SUV, or RV to Save-A-Pet and get a tax deduction. Just fill out the form to donate a car and we will do everything else. We will come pick up your car and provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.
K911 To The Rescue!
Save-A-Pet recently announced the launch of our new "K911" program, which is aimed at rescuing the most at-risk dogs from high-kill shelters. In the past, most of these dogs would've been euthanized due to age or medical conditions that would've precluded them from being adopted.
Many of the dogs the K911 program will save are adoptable with medical intervention, but WE NEED YOUR HELP to give them a new leash on life!

Wondering what to do with your old cell phone? Don’t throw it away! Your phone can help the orphaned animals at Save-A-Pet! Save-A-Pet is now participating in a new cell phone recycling program. This program helps protect the environment by keeping these recyclable items out of landfills — while raising funds to help the companion animals of our shelter at the same time.
Barkin' Basement
Barkin' Basement is a thrift store selling high-end and lightly used donated items. The store is located at 116 East Main Street in
Port Jefferson Village and is operated by Save-A-Pet volunteers. All sales proceeds will go to benefit Save-A-Pet in helping the animals at its no-kill shelter.
Barkin' Basement is currently looking for adults ages 18 and over to volunteer their time at the store and is accepting gently used furniture, clothing, bric-a-brac and home décor. All donations will be accepted at Save-A-Pet, 608 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station. Phone: 631-642-2275.

Buy-A-Brick Program
On September 1, 2000, Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center opened
its doors in Port Jefferson Station, New York. In order to continually improve
the shelter, we began building a beautiful walkway and garden named after our
favorite Neapolitan Mastiff, “Waldo”. Waldo was rescued from a
cruel life and this Walk of Hope is dedicated in his honor. It signifies the
hope that we all share, that all animals will be adopted into loving homes.
You can be part of the Walk of Hope by purchasing a personalized brick in support
of Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center. The bricks will be installed
as part of our permanent walking path entrance to our center.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be used to help support the Center
and its programs.

Clothing Bin
Save-A-Pet now has a clothing bin in the parking lot, you can't miss the large pink bin as you enter our parking lot. We are asking people to put anything made out of cloth that you no longer need. We collect money per pound of clothing. You can help the animals by discarding your old clothes at Save-A-Pet!
Empty Ink Cartridges &
Used Cell Phones
Save-A-Pet has started a program to collect empty ink cartridges from fax machines, copiers and printers. A local company has promised to give a cash donation to the shelter for the cartridges. This program can only become successful through the public donations of the cartridges. This is a great program for schools to initiate! Many local companies and schools throw out the empties!
Just drop off the cartridges at Save-A-Pet or if you have a large amount and are local, we will pick them up. We are also collecting used cell phones. Any help that you would be willing to give us would be greatly appreciated by the animals at Save-A-Pet.
