Pints for Pits” Raises $900 for Save-A-Pet to Help its Pit Bull Residents

Erica Kutzing and Frank Floridia.

On May 9, Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. — in a partnership with Guardians of Rescue — hosted “Pints for Pits,” a fundraiser to benefit the many abandoned, neglected, and abused pit bulls housed at Save-A-Pet. The event was held at Grumpy Jacks Sports Bar & Grill in Port Jefferson.

Approximately $900 was raised, with the money going to help pit bulls such as Amelia, Dolce, Rusty and Knox, who were all rescues from horrible conditions. The event also featured appetizers and drink specials; raffles, baskets, prizes, and music from DJ Ron.
