There's may be nothing quite as majestic as a huge shepherd like Sandy, a long-haired, long-snouted girl who seems to have been taken good care of in her former home. She is well-fed, with a shimmering and healthy coat -- which is all the more impressive given its length. Sandy is surprisingly tall, in the convenient way where you don't have to bend over much to pet her. Like many shepherds you meet, she is oozing with desire to please and work for someone. She knew Sit and Down, and within about five minutes she was Staying, her big brown eyes darting back and forth between the treat in my hand and my eyes. When Sandy was sitting in a pen outside, she remained quiet even when barking dogs stammered while passing. Sandy is looking for a new home, where she will adore things like frisbee, going for runs, or playing hide and go seek. She is the shepherd you've been looking for! She has some food issues that we feel can be worked through with proper training. She is stunning to look at and we feel that she would do best in an experienced home.
