Save-A-Pet Bands Together with Act1Entertainment.Net against Puppy Mills
On October 20, Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc. is joining Act1Entertainment.Net for “Banding Together Against Puppy Mills.” Four Long Island venues will be joining in this simultaneous event to raise awareness about the plight of the puppy mill puppies and the cruelty that exists at these puppy mills:
• The Blue Parrot Lounge, 5460 Merrick Road, Massapequa (8 p.m.-1 a.m.)
• Candy’s Magic Pub, 363 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley (8 p.m.-1 a.m.)
• O’Brien’s Ale House, 3720 Route 112, Coram (8 p.m.-1 a.m.)
• Village Idiot Pub, 8 East Main Street, Patchogue (5 p.m.-9 p.m.)
“Banding Together Against Puppy Mills” is a volunteer effort by Act 1 Entertainment’s Brother and Sisters, a touring group that performs at area venues for those less fortunate than themselves. The money that is raised will go toward the care of these dogs that the puppy mills deem “no longer useful for breeding” and need extensive veterinary care. These dogs are rescued and brought to Save-A-Pet.
There will be live music and raffle prizes, as well as guest speakers who will discuss what goes on at these puppy mills. Raffle donations are currently being accepted. To donate a prize for the raffle, or to volunteer at the event, please email Karl Reamer at [email protected] or call Act 1 Entertainment at (631) 758-3505.
